BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES. HALF-YEARLY REPORT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 27, 8.40 p.m. Sydney, November 27. The Bank of New Smith-Wales' halfyearly report shows a, net profit of £24G,323. * During the war the cash and coin balances will be increased in London to £1,600,000, »nd in Australasia to £SOO,OOO. Note circulation in New Zealand has slightly increased, but the Dominion Government measures are relieving the financial stringency. Enlarging the use of individual bank-notes has proved satisfactory. The bank had never been in a better position to meet the unexpected state of affairs.
