AQUATICS.

SEASON OPENED AT AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The aquatic season was officially opened on Saturday, when combined cruising races for yachts and launches were held. The boats of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, Devonport, North Shore, Victoria, Ponsouby, and Richmond Yacht Clubs and the New Zealand Power-boat Association took part' in the races. The. conditions wore ideal, the wind being a light south-west. Entries for four classes totalled 123.
