PRO-GERMAN JOURNALS FORBIDDEN. STRINGENT REGULATIONS. Received 22. 10.20 a.m. Ottawa, November 21. The Government has decided to make it a criminal offence throughout Canada for a person to possess or circulate copies of German journals published in the United States. A determined effort is being made to flood Canada with proGerman literature, and the Government is prohibiting the use of mails therefor.
EXPEDITIONARY FOECE LIMITED TO 50,000.
MOEE MEN AVAILABLE. Eeceivecl 23, 12.40 p.m. Ottawa, November 22. Mr. Borden, Premier, in an official memorandum, states that it has been decided to increase Canada's force to 50,000 men. Thirty-three thousand are already in England, and 8000 on garrison duty in Canada and the Bermudas. The Premier announces that only the inability of Britain to accommodate a larger number prevents Canada from Taising thch 50,000 men to be kept continually under training.
