EGMONT A. AND P. SHOW.
EXCELLENT ENTRIES. The Egmont A. and P. Society is to be congratulated upon the excellent entries it has received for its animal show, which is to be held on Wednesday and Thursday next. Compared with last .'car,,tha entries are considerably better, and considering the adverse condit tions arising from the war and the con- ' sequent shortage of labor which !has so VoiisideraMy affected other shows we think tiie committee has every reason to he pleased with the result. It is evident that South Taranaki does not mean to allow its show which the people have worked for so long and so well, to bo interfered with. Given good weather-, this year's show should be a record one. The following is a comparative statement of the main features of the show: 1013. 10M Horses' -.-..-.,..,.,, 433 50l Cattid ~../..tt.-, 342 844 Sheep -....-I'.-.-;■ 232 239 Pigs v.....
