MAIL NOTICES.

Subject to necessary alteration, mails will close at the Chief Post Office as under: —

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23. For Australian States, South Africa, China, Japan, East Indies and Straits Settlements, via Auckland, at 6.15 p.m.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24. For Raratonga and Tahiti, via Auckland, at 6.15 a.m.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Setlements, Eastern and Mediterranean ports, via Wellington, at 12.20 p.m. (Money orders close 11 a.m.)

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28. For Australian States, South Africa, China, Straits Settlements, and East Indies, via Auckland, at 6.15 a.m. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, North and Central America, and West Indies, at 6.15 a.m. Parcels for United Kingdom should be posted as usual. They will be sent : forward as opportunity offers. ; Correspondence for United Kingdom ; to be sent by the long direct route should be posted as usual, and specially marked "via Monte Video." The times for closing mails for places beyond the Dominion are liable to alteration (earlier or later.) i Unless otherwise specified, moneyorders and registered letters close one hour, and parcel-post parcels thirty minutes, before the ordinary mail.
