ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
TROOPERS IN COLLISION. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. A curious accident happened this evening to two troopers of the Bth Regiment (200 of whom arc now in camp). A number of men were exercising horse* on Caroline Bay sands, when two horses going fast in opposite directions had a head-to-head collision. Both broketheir necks, and died Trooper Turnbull, of Rakaia, was taken to the hospital, rather seriously injured. The other was but little hurt.
