DELUDING THE ENEMY. FLOWERS FOLLOWED BY BOMBS. Received 18, 10.50 p.m. Vienna, November 17. Official: The Austrians, on entering Valjevo, were welcomed with a shower of flowers, for the purpose of deceiving them as to the temper of the city. Subsequently the inhabitants dropped bombs and opened rifle-fire from the houses. This, reception is described as characteristic of the Serbians.
