Sir,—Can you tell me through your columns whether the Minister of Education made certain specific promises to the High School Board about building grants, payment of rent, etc., when he visited New Plymouth last February? Have these promises been kept? Again, is it a fact that the High School Board has received no information that £4OOO has been granted for a new Girl's' High School, or is the whole thing a piece of electioneering? The Boys' High School, at any rate, is on the up-grade and should not be made a catspaw of to suit aspiring politicians—l am, etc. ENQUIRER. November 18th', 1914. |
