KAPOXUA. The fortnightly meeting of tlie Loyal 'lvapenga Lodge Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows was held ;n the lodge room on Monday evening, N.G. Bro. McCorty presi.ling. There was 'a good muster of the brethren. Afte<r formal business was concluded all arrangements were completed for the' ipi-uicoming Hospital Sunday to Du held in tlie ]>ark oil Sunday, 2<kh inst., in aid of a child's cot for tSie Hanvera hospital. Given a line' day a big gathering ii expected. A communication was received front the local Hibernian Lodge stating that with the co-opera-'tion of the Oddfellows a social and gift sale is to be held on a date to ibe. fixed 'in aid ot the Belgian and Britain fund. The suggestion was .most enthusiastically received by tSic members present, and a strong committee was formed to meet the Hi!>;ria>ns and arrange all details. Th.i committee feel sure that with the co-operation of the two lodges a most successful function can be worked up and a good amount collected for hi worthy an objeet They a-sk all 1 members and also members of otlu>',' ledges to lielp the movement in every possible way from a friendly society point of view .
