Fighting in the Balkans.
FJERCE SERVIAN RESISTANCE. Rome, November 15. It Is officially admitted in Vienna that tin; Austrians are unable to overcome the fierce Servian resistance at Valjevo. "the snow and rain rendered fighting a difficulty. The Austrians are progressing along the Save. Ccttingc, November 15. Two Austrian aeroplanes dropped bombs at Antivari. A bomb fell in front of the Crown Prince's residence, and broke the windows.
TROUBLE AT OCEAN ISLAND. BRITISH TROOPS LANDED. ■Received 16, 5.30 p.m. Melbourne, November 16. A steamer from Ocean Island states that jnst before she left troops were landed at the request of the British residents, to keep the Germans in check. It is alleged that 40 Germans, armed with rifles, marched through the island, and threatened to shoot anyone who interfered with their plans.
