Against the Turks.
RED SEA FORT TAKEN. TIIE TURKS FLEE. Received 10, 12.5 p.m. l'aris, November 15. The New York Herald's Paris edition states that a British cruiser destroyed Turkish forts at Sheikh Said, opposite Perim.
A detachment of Indian infantry landed, and captured the guns and dismantled the forts.
The Turks lied, after suffering heavy losses. The British losses were insignificant. MECCA PILGRIMS HELD UP. London, November 15. As the result of the war, pilgrims at .Mecca are unable to return to Egypt, and great distress prevails. Fifty Turkish sailing ships are detained in Egyptian ports.
IN THE CAUCASUS. Petrograd, November 15. Official; The Russian cavalry on Thursday repulsed and put to flight the Kurdish cavalry south of Karikilishe Agaskerska.

Official: The Russian advance guards in the vicinity of Koprikoi withdrew to positions previously assigned them, owing to the arrival of strong Turkish reinforcements from Erzroum and Vrezizond. THE RUSSIAN COMMANDER. Received 16, 10.40 p.m. Rome, November 10. The Neu Frei Presse, of Vienna, stateß that General Dimitrieff commands the Russian army against the Turks.
TURKS DEFEATED. AMMUNITION AND GUNS CAPTURED, Wellington, Last Night. The High Commissioner reports as follows, under date London, November 10:The Admiralty announces successful operations against the Turks under Shiek Scyd at Cape Babel Mandeb, at the entrance to the Red Sea. Three battalions of Indian troops landed under cover of fire from the Duko of Edinburgh, which disabled the Turba fort. Infantry attacked the enemy's position, and occupied the hills commanding Manheli. The opposition weakened. Two hundred of the enemy escaped. We occupied the forts. A large amount of ammunition and six field guns were captured. Our casualties were four men killed, one officer and fifteen men wounded.
