NEWTON KING'S WEEKLY REPORT. At Waiwakaiho yards on Friday, flth inst, i[ had a full yarding of cattle, the condition and quality being very fair right through. Bidding was good, practically a full clearance being made at advanced prices. Bulls and good-condi-tioned cows are at present bringing great prices, and it will certainly pay any dairyman to cull their herds and replace with heifers. A choice line of Jersey 15-months heifers (fair size stuff) made £3, and a small line of woolly ewes and lambs '4os. Other prices were: Springing heifers (good), £0 to £U 12s (id, smaller sorts, but fair quality, £5 to £5 15s, small £4 2s (id to £4 15s, dairy cows £4 13s to £7, pedigree Jersey bull ll'/agns., heavy grade Jersey bull £43 15s, younger Jersevs £5 10s to £8 7s 6d, yearling Jersey's £1 15s to £3 15s, 15-months Holsteins £4 2s to £5, yearling Shorthorns £4 10s to £O, pedigree Ayrshires £4 10s to £6 sa, empty 2-year colored heifers £-1 2s, empty 20-months heifers (very few yarded) £3 to £3 lis, mixed yearlings £1 lis (id to £3 2s, yearling to 15-months heifers £1 17s to £2 10s, 15-months steers £3 5s to £3 lis, yearling steers £2 10s to £2 Kis (id, 2-year steers (rough) £4 14s,'good fat cows up to £0 Kis, light fat cows £7 i)s fid and £7 lis, forward cows £5 fls to £0 18s, good store cows £4 10s to £5 (is, lighter-framed cows £3 as to £4 2s, very aged cows £2 2a. * On Monday, !)th inst., at Douglas, there was a full yarding, most of which I was able to clear at satisfactory prices as follows:—Yearling to 15-months heifers £1 15s to £2 Ss, colored £2 12s Oil to £2 10s Gd, 15-months steers £3 U to £3 Bs, yearling steers £2 lis (id to £2 I7s (id, 18-months steers £4 5s (id, 2-year steers £5 Cs, dairy cows £5 to £7 ss, empty 2-vcar heifers £3 15s to ■£3 18s (id, light fat cows £7 10s (i.l, forward cows £5 Ms to £0 12s, good store cows £4 10s to £5 2s, smaller framed cows £3 7s to £3 ISs (Id, cows and calves £o Is to £5 10s, good hoggets ISs 4d, smaller 15s to 15s Sd, good dairy bulls £fi 10s to £lO 10s, others (heavy bulls) up to £0 15s, small up to £5 12s fid, yearling up to £3 15s.
