Against the Turks.
I BRITISH COLONY IX DAXUER. COMMANDED BY TURKISH CANNON. Received 14, 12.20 a.m. London, November 12. The Morning Post's Athens corrcspow dent states that the British colonists at .Smyrna desired to leave, being doubtful whether the assurances given to the American Consul that the lives and property of foreigners would be protected. They were permitted to leave. Turkish cannon command the heights, and it is believed that they will shell the colony if the Allies attempt to take the city from the sea.

A message from Constantinople states! that the Gocben was seriously damaged by a shot which penetrated her at the waterlinc during the Anglo-French bonw bardment of the Dardanelles.
PREPARATIONS AGAINST EGYPT. London, November 12. ' Feverish preparations are continuing in Syria against Egypt. Bucharest, November 12.
It is reported that there is a rebellion of Turkish troops at Adrianople against German officers. Copenhagen, November 12.
The Kaiser has ordered all Mohammedans captured from the Allies to be sent to Constantinople, to serve in the Turkish army.
ME FACTORY GETS BUSY. ITS REPORTS OFFICIALLY DENIED. Received 13,10.5 pjn, Lendon, November 12. The Press Bureau denies the Turkish headquarters' statements that the Russians in Caucasia retreated, their second line of defence suffering greatly, and that the Turks have crossed the Egyptian frontier and occupied Schenizer and Fort Elarish, capturing four British guns. The Bureau says that false information - is being deliberately spread at Constantinople under German instructions.
ANARCHY IN ALBAiNIA. * TURKISH FLAG HAULED DOWN. ; Received 13, 10.5 p.m. London, November 12. Berat, in (Albania, has been pillaged, and anarchy reigns in the Valona region) which is a prey to civil war. The Gov« ernor was forced to haul down the Turkish flag. Soldiers have been sent ttf restore order.
