SMALL UNION FORCE DISPERSED. Pretoria, November 10. General De Wet and two thousand followers dispersed a small Government commando near Winburg under General Cronje, M.L.A. General De Wet's son was killed. The Government is strongly reinforcing General Cronje. Captured rebels state that they were sjamboked by De Wet. Colonel Lemmer's Union forces totally defeated General Beyers' rebel's at the Vet River. Nine of the latter were killed, eleven wounded and 349 taken prisoners. Three Loyalists were killed or wounded.
