Mr. J. C. Robinson, Newall road, Warea, writes:—"Please • acknowledge the sum of £4 Cs, proceeds of social given, in the Newall School in aid of the Poor-iu-Biitain Fund. Considering that the season is so advanced for dancing, there was a good attendance. Mr. A. K Magon acted as M.C., while Hiss Cassie and Messrs Burgess, Tai and Smith supplied the music. Songs were given by Mrs. Nash and Messrs Gable and. F. Burgess. Alogether it was a very enjoyable gathering, and the result added a little (more to a good cause. We wish to thank the Daily News for its generosity in inserting advertisements free of | cost.
