In the Arbitration Court, Mr Justice Heydon delivered judgment in the case calling on the Northren District Colliery, Employees Federation to show cause why it, should not be penalised for aidin~ a strike at certain Alaitland mines 'in connection wiih the afternoon shifb i trouble. He adjudged the Federation | guilt.y of aiding the strike, and paying strike pay.

By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. ■ N Wellington, Last Night. The 'Federated Seamen's Union of New Zealand has, during the past three months, been taking a ballot of members on a proposal to remove the union's headquarters from Dunedin to Wellington. The proposal was carried by 423 votes.
