There was keen competition and spirited' bidding for crossbreds at famina prices, which were generally 10 per cent, above those at the October sales. The merinos were an inferior selection, maaji being secondhand Australian lots oa Continental account, and chiefly short) carbonising sorts. These were very diffw cult to sell at 10 per cent, below the, October prices, while superior sftaftj! combings advanced 5 per cent. Silver, 23s 6d. Copper, 54s (Id to 555.
