COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTIONS.

Williamß, R. BteronH, J. A. Bridgeman. Waitara Riding.—v. IM. Longstaff, J. B, Hill, J. Andrews. Mangorci Riding.—A. Morton. Omata Riding.—D. MeAllum. Okato Riding.—W. Binnie, C. Andrews, P. 7. Railll, G. A. Adlam. There will be elections, therefore, in Uie Moa Riding, where three represent® tiw« ar* required; in the Waitara RMimq, where two representatives are re-; quired; and in the Okato Riding, Wlim two representatives are required. In the Mangorei and Omnia Ridings there is bo opposition to the present members, fctrtgsrs. A. Morton and B. MeAllum respectively.

ELTIIAM. Nominations closed yesterday in connection with the Kltham County Council. Messrs Belcher and Granville will represent the Eltharn riding and A. MksWilliam the Omona riding. Contests will take place for the Kaponga Tiding (2) for which Messrs Black, Mossana and O'Neill have been nominated. Thf. Man#atoki riding has lour candidate* /or the three vacancies, Messrs Gifford, MeGuinneflti. Preeece and Pease. The chairman of the Council, Mr J. T. Quhl, will be opposed by Mr A. L. Campbell, in the South, riding.—Argus.
