The Howling I'lub were favored with beautiful weather for -.heir opvning day on Thursday. A number of visilon wtrcpresent from other clislw, and an enjoyable afternoon was spem. The Liglewool Operatic .Society will shortly stage "Doro'.lhy," and J believe will surpass anything yet ,pu. ,i public by this .society.
The regular winter functions have now era-Ail, but 1 notice several of ttaie outlying district* are still holding socials in aid of school funds, patriotic, etc.
The guild bazaar, which -was held on Thursday night was not such a financial success as might have hem the case ii);:rder cirlinfiry ei'i'cumHta.m'e;-!. (However. a fair sum was collected, ami this will hclr> to reduce the liability of the church.

After having had beautiful warm summer weather for some time, a sudden change has taken 'place to-;lay, for it is cold, wet, and windy.
