FIRES.
MOTOR GARAGE BURNED. HEAVY LOSS AT NAPIER. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Napier, La'st Night. A disastrous fire occurred early tlhia afternoon in Lowe and Keeping's motor garage, whereby (tannage to the extent of close on fIO.OOO was done. The building was mainhf of concrete, and the walls were undamaged. Four or five cars were removed before the fire reached thejn, but sixteen others were damaged, some absolutely beyond repair. Several of the cars were not insured, and ;1:ose damaged included some very valuable onen. The building was insured for f IfioO, and the stock, trade and plant for £IOOO, both in the Ocean Office. The loss on the latter risk will be considerable.
