HERD-TESTING.
MIDIIIRST ASSOCIATION*. Tiio figures obtained as the result of the last four-weekly period of tests conducted by the above association show some remarkable results. The host-herd, with an average test of 4.23, gave 38.2111) of butter-fat; the best cow 4.8, -01.02; and the worst cow 5.2. 9.36. The size of the herds tested varied from 7 to 45. The herd average milk yields varied from GlOlh to 901, the test from 3.42 to 4.62, the hutter-fat from 21.83 to 35.21. The individual yield tf milk varied from 1801b to 12901b. In the Stratford liat for the same period the best herd had an average test of 3.51 and 29.791b butter-fat; heat cow, 3.3, 35.55; \iorst cow, 3.3, 13.30.
