ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Taruruiangi Dairy Company, whidh) had been adjourned trom last Saturday, was held at the Tarurutangi Hall yeuiercfay, when Mr. T. Rowe, chairman of directors, presided over an attendance of about twenty suppliers. The report and balance-ahoet, as pub. 'lishod, were read and adopted. I.ongstall and E: Marsh, who were dis/Jared elected. Mr. T. Rowe., the retiring chairman, declined '.re-election. Mr. C. T. 'Mills."was re-elected auditor.
GENERAL. It was decided to pay 5 per cont. interest on share capital. After some discussion, it was'resolved to continue paying cream suppliers y,d per lb butter-fat more than was paid to milk suppliers. An amendment that all '.should be'paid alike, was lost. During the discussion it was pointed out that it cost the company less to manufacture "butler from cream than it did from the milk. On the motion of Messrs G. M. Longstaff and A. Street, it vvas resolved to donate one-half per cent, to the Patriotic Fund. The chairman announced that their butter this year had been sent forward on open consignment. The.question of feeding on swede turnips was brought forward, and it was 'decided not to accept milk fed on thy food.
A hearty vote of thanks was accorded tho retiring directors, and especially the retiring chairman,.Mr. T. Rowe, who was relinquishing his connection with the factory owing to leaving the district, after having been chairman since its inauguration sixteen years ago. Special reference, was made to the good work performed at the factory hy tho manager, Mr. R. Street, who was voted by the suppliers to be a tip-top man, and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and a bonus of £5.
