As an outcome of complaint® of unfairitcHß ef non-unionism reaping the benefits won by unionists, Mr. Griffith, Minister for Lands, has issued an ultimatum it'o unionists employed by tfw Public iW'orku Department that from the beginning of tho current month all workers who had not become members of unions would recoive only the rate, vl wages current before tho lost awards were obtained governing tiheir respective eallings. The ultimatum adds tbat Sir. Griffith hfia no desire Vo force Any man's conscience in the matter, but at the same time «onsidors thut workmen ef.oying outsadle their uoionfl not bo permitted, to receive the benefit increments won by the exertions of orgs«.i#ation.
