The directors of the Farmers' Co-oper-a/tive Organisation Society of N.Z., Ltd., held, a meeting on Saturday in Havrera, at which the balance-sheet of the company's first half-year of 'business was laid before them. The results were most gratifying to the directors, far exceeding the expectations of the most sanguine of them. The shares aro being taken up encouragingly, while theprofite of the Society compare more than favorably with those of the very best of kindred societies throughout New Zealand, and the directors confidently look forward to being able at the end of the year to tmaJcc as good a return, in llhe shape of interest 'upon share capital, bonus on purchases, and rei bates on commissions to the shareholders as any other similar concern in New Zealand has been able to make. This is a very satisfactory commencement for the Society, and one upon which they arc to ,do heartily congratulated.
