AGRICULTURAL SCHOLARSHIPS.

RESOLUTION'S AT lIAWERA. At a representative public meeting at Hawera on Friday night a resolution was carried impressing upon the Government the immediate necessity of making from the various agricultural endowments and other endowments, such as those derived from the Opaku Reserve, provision for (a) junior and senior agricultural scholarships, domestic science scholarships for pupils in primary and district high schools, and (1>) tllie apportionment of a definite part of the interest accruing from endowments for the purpose of agricultural teaching. Tiie meeting further resolved that a central school for the purposes'of such teaching be established at Hawera, wiili staff, acommodation and equipment worthy of the object in view. A copy of the resolution was forwarded to the Government.
