f ~ COMMITTEE MEET! NO'. The general committee of the Taranaki Agricultural .Society met at tllie -office of the secretary (Mr. A. L. Humphries) 011 Friday evening, Mr. J. «. Connett presiding. The following were added to the committee: —Messrs C'. Eairbrother, W, J. Honeyfield, S. Street, A. E. Sykes, A. H. Street, T. Luxton, A. .13. Frost, .1. lit. Hill, J. Frethey, G. White, G. A. lAdlam, I£. Elliot, N. W. llill, F. Boulton and W. Scott. A discussion ensued on the recommendation submitted to the committee to the effect that a country organiser and canvasser bo appointed, and the proposal was unanimously agreed to, the finance committee being empowered to proceed with the matter. With a view to strengthening the membership of the society, liberal increases were made in members' privileges. In future a member will receive a season ticket and two ladies' season tickets for the autumn show, and a season ticket and four ladies' single admission tickets for the winter show, it was also decided to admit junicr associates at ss. It was decided to hold the meetings of the committee on the Friday evening following the first Waiwiikaiho sale day in each month. The date of the autumn show was fixed for February 24 and 25. The matter of arranging for green fodder for stock exhiibted at the show was left ill the hands of the president and Messrs 11. 11. Street and K. Johnston. Tho president and Messrs G. W. Bn.wn, F. Watson, L. A. Nolan, C. Fairbrother, I;. Jackson and 11. 11. Street were appointed a finance committee.

It was decided, to delete dairy produce from the autumn show, as recommended by the annual meeting. The following were appointed to remsc the schedule, and were given power to appoint their own colleagues:— Light horses, Mr. F. Watson; draughts, Mr. G. Colsoii; cattle, the presidenti; sheep and pigs, Mr. W, Grant; dogs, Mr. A. T. Moore.
