«»» A BLAZE AT G&EYTGWN. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Carterton, October 5. A fire at Greytown last night destroyed a residence owned and occupied by Samuel Fiesit. The girls had been to Wellington and had returned by excursion train, and had lighted a spirit lamp to heat some water. The lamp exploded and set fire to the room t The, rest of the occupants escaped in night attire. Everything was destroyed. Tin; insurances are not available. The house was situated two miles from (ireytowi, and there was no ftre brigade.
