LKItOY, TALMA AND DOSCO. Fresh from triumphal tour of England and America, these world-famed illusionists will show at the Theatre Royal JV». one night only, on Monday, October 5. T!ie eonibination consists of twenty-two English, American and Continental artists, and the Neyv Zealand tour is under the direction of Mr K. J. Carroll, who has bruught the company out alter long and extended negotiations, and at an enormous figure. Lcroy, Talma and liosco are. the greatest act of their kind in the world, and their illustrations are presented on a sumptuous and gorgeous scale. Over 200 tons of stage properties are used in their performance, including two huge and savage lions, and a multitude of smaller animals and birds. All the illusions are the work of Semis Leroy, whose inventive brain has made the name of the trio famous in every civilised country of the world. Several important illusions will be performed for the first time in New Zealand, chief among these being the historical Hindu rope trick. Madame Talma .demonstrates the wonderful art of coin manipulation, and Bosco, the humorist of the trio, specialises in exposing the tricks of Leroy. The company is also bringing with them "Napoleon," the marvel of tho canine world. The company includes Warner and White, a pair of American singers, talkers, and eccentric dancers, and the great Santucei, who will introduce his piano accordeon, a noval instrument with over 200 stops, on which he features well-known operatic selections and the lateat ragtime crazes. The box plan opens at Hoffmann's on Thursday morning next.
