Writing to a local resident in reply to an iiiqiiiiy, tin; secretary of the Manitoba Public Vehicle* Commission stak'ri that there are in Alberta _ some 420 oil companies "manufactured"' an.l capitalised at 300,000/00 dollars, but only oi)o or two so far showing indications of oil. The commission has absolutely barred the sale of oil shares there, tlnw saving the public enormous sums of money. His advice is to 'keep out of gambling in Alberta oil shares—and the advice is sound.
