Joseph Earlo Hermann, a financier, was charged at the Court to-day with uttering a forged promissory note for .t!20S!) 15s (ill. The prosecution alleged that there were other notes, supposed to be forgeries, totalling nearly £42,000. Bail was refused, and the hearing was adjourned till September 2i).
