Russians Land in Belgium.

Received 9, 7.43 p.m. Sydney, September 9. i Official sanction is now given for the publication of the following message, dated New York, September -I: 1 Incoming American tourists report that a large number of Hussion soldiers arrived in Scotland via the White Sea, and were brought by railway through i England, and shipped to Ostend to reinforce the Antwerp garrison. The story was not believed when first published, owing to the Yellow Press activities, but the Ottawa Military Department has now no reason for doubtJing it. Apparently the Allies are mediating a move based on Antwerp. Received 9, 11.10 p.m. London. September 8 (evening). There have been persistent rumors lor a fortnight that a large force of Russians, via Archangel, traversed England and landed on the Continent. The idea is ridiculed locally, owing to the magnitude of the alleged force, but a Berlin 1 telegram published in Rome states that a Russian force has landed in France.
THE NEWS CONFIRMED. Received 9, 0.15 p.m. New York, September S. St. Rauss, a former Minister in Turkey, has arrived. He states that it is undoubted that Russian forces have reached Antwerp, through England. AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT. The High Commissioner cabled yesterday from London:— A Rome newspaper of high standing states that a Russian army of a quarter jof a million men is in France. There is no confirmation bere.
