Mr Davy (East Christchruch) who waß the principal speaker, said that flour to the value of £ 18,0-17 was imported from Australia in the March quarter of this ■year. ■ Mr. M&ssey, in reply, said the qu;est<inn was surrounded with great difficulty, but he thought the safest method was to prefer the matter to the commission now sot up, and if the report_ showed that people were being exploited, the Government would introduce legislation to deal with the position.
