A VULNERABLE GERMANY COLONY! RIFLES ISSUED OX) RESIDENTS. NATIVES DISAFFECTED. Sydney, August '25. Captain Allen, an Island trader, arrived by the Ventura. He describes ft recent visit to German Samoa, when he was informed of the declaration_ of wav and told to clear. Apia is unfortified, but rifles have been distributed to German residents. The natives are restless, and it is believed that if fighting occurs the natives will attack the Germans, as they do not like German rule. Communication T>etwen Apia and Pago Pago has been cut off.
