We produce the map of Liege to make clear to our readers how the Germans are in possession of the town while the surrounding forts are still retained auparently by the Belgians. The town with its 180,000 inhabitants, held by the enemy, presumably cuts off the chain of surrounding forts from their main base of supplies, and leaves them dependent on existing provisions and ammunition to resist a German attack, which may now proceed on the moro leisurely and orthodox lines o'f approaching by trenches.
