ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
THREE INQUESTS. By Telegraph— Press Association. ' nn, i- l■ . Dunedin, Monday, -i-ne district coroner held three inquests to-day. The first was touching ' the death of an Italian sailor named Cordiglia Filippo, who, whilst under the Muence of delirium from typhoid lever, jumped from a window at the Dunedin Hospital and died as the resulD .' at 'injuries received. The second inquest -was on tlie remains of Catherine I'inlayson, SO years of age, who was found dead m her bed. Dr. Martin, gave it as his opinion that death was :lue to heart failure. In, the third case the victim was Jane Watt, 75 years of age, who was standing near the fire, wanning herself, when her clothes caught fire. A neighbor saw her standing in the doorway with her clothes blazing; and he secured ia piece of carpet and, wranning it around her, extinguished the flames, bub the unfortunate woman was so severely burnt that she succumbed t' her injuries. In. each, case «, formal verdict was returned.
