Hacks and forwards kept their positions in a remarkable manner, and their attack was an object-lesson to local players of either sex. The forwards, by pretty in-and-out passing, l.Mially 'beat the local backs, but when they were tackled with the ball the half-back line was in such an advantageous position tiliat the ball was immediately wonS tack to 'the forwards and the attack resumed. Tile shooting Wi's always clean, crisp, and well directed and but for some heroic saves by the local goalkeeper the score would, have been much larger.
