MEETINGS IN AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph.—press Association. Melbourne, August. 15. At the meeting of thu British Assetiation, 13 scicnliiilc sections met at the University. The presidential address was delivered and lid in,revesting papers read. Degrees were conferred. Professor Cherry, in a paper on a Klin rainfall, drew the conclusion that, with the assistance of soluble phosphates, profitable crops might be grown with less than lOin of winter rainfall. Professor Batcson was installed as president, and delivered an address on "Heredity."
