■«»■ : EMPIRE PICTURES. A new . collection of photoplays wilt be shown this afternoon at 2.30 and again to-night. The feature is a Pathe Freres masterpiece, entitled, "In Mid Atlantic," featuring the great French astress, Mdlle Rubma, whose success in "The King of the Air," will long he re- ' mombered. as Galig Des Doses, the famous dancer, who dances an Hervic i dance at sea while the ship burns. Included in this programme is Barker's big sporting topical, "Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase, 1914." It is claimed to be a perfect view of this year's greatest English, jumping race. The other films are up to the Empire's high; standard. Seats may be reserved by ringing up phone 365.
