STILL DIVIDED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night-To-day Mr W. Bennett, manager of the Wellington Employers' Co-operative Wharf Laborers' Association, addressed a, meeting of members of the Wharf ' Laborers' Union, and explained the new scheme which comes into operation on Thursday. There was an attendance of about 200 men, most of whom appeared to be members of the old union, and were opposed to the scheme. As a result, Mr Bennett was subjected to considerable interruption, and the following motion was eventually moved by Mr Robinson and seconded by Mr T. Jones: "That the scheme such as outlined by Mr Bennett be postponed until the conclusion of hostilities between the British nation and the countries with whom tdie is at waT." The motion was received with acclamation, but was ultirstely lost sight of, and was not put t-o the meeting- When Mr E. J. Jones, secretary of the Wharf Laborers' Union, mounted the platform to speak, there was a good deal of disturbance and many of those present left the room. After Mr E. Jones had briefly spoken on the new proposals, the gathering dispersed.
