Sir Edward Schafer, en route to the Science Congress, interviewed regarding the origin of life, denies that he ever iaid that life could be created by chemical means. The chief n suit of hiß investigations had been the acquirement of what life is. It had been made clear that life consists of simpiy chemical and physical processes. If that were the case, these must ultimately yield to research. It may not be wow, nor in. 10 nor 100 years hence, but it must pome. At least that was what some scientists believed.
