John Mason, who as convicted at Pialmerston North of placing a block of wood across the railway ISne at Awapuni, came befre the Chief Justice to day for sentence. Prisoner, whoce age is '22, was described *as mentally deeficient. His Honor ordered prisoner be sent to Invereargill for reformatory treatment.
