On Friday. 24th inst., I held a most successful clearing sale on account of Messrs Manship Bros., of Stratford. Dairy cows sold at from £9 5s to £ls (averaging £ll 7s 3d for the. herd), springing heifers £4 13s to £0 10s, forward empty cows £o 10s, breeding sows in farrow €4 to £(!, sow with litters £4 15s to £9 ss, store pigs £1 10s to £1 14s lid, weaners to slips his to £1 lis; horses and sundries at very satisfactory prices. Oil tin: same day at Waipuku, in conjunction with Messrs Webster, Dobson anil Co.. 1 cleared Mr. Thos. ltidd's dairy herd, dry stock and sundries at most satisfactory prices. At Ureniti yards on Monday, 27th inst.. T lijul a full ynvliny with a good attendance. A good number of dairy cattle were, yarded, prices obtained for these being very good, considering the quality of the stock.
