INGLEWOOD NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent). On Sunday afternoon the bridge crossing the railway line at Sentry Hill was again the scene of an accident. A New Plymouth motor cyclist returning from Inglewood had the misfortune to have his machine skid badly on approaching the bridge, toeing thrown against the l.side railing. Fortunately, the rider escaped with nothing worse than a few bruises and a severe shaking, but the bicycle -was rather badly knocked about. This bridge being placed at an awkward angle has been a constant danger zone to all traffic, especially motorists, and it seems well-nigh time that something was done to amend its present state. On Monday night, at the Town Hall, "The Kennedy's" presented a very fine musical programme to a good audience. The items were well received, encores and double. encoa-e 8 being the order of the evening.
On Thursday night the Inglewood members of Queen Alexandra's 2nd Mounted Rifles will hold their annual' social in the Town Hall. An energetic committee are sparing no pains in preparation thereof. \
