Counsel on behalf of three of the South African deportees, Waterson, Morgan, and McKerrell. in their action against the owners of the Umgeni for false imprisonment, have applied for an early hearing, on the ground that two of them arc suffering from miners' phthisis. They also mention that circumstances 'have arisen whereby the six others have abandoned their actions.
