Holders are anxious to Bell, as the result of heavy arrivals, .Canterbury, G3-l(id, heavy weights, 5'/ 2 d, other than Canterbury (j'/ 8 d for light weight. 1 Beef.—The market is steady, with fa;:' business doing. New Zealand hinds, 4%d, fores 3V s d. Supplies of American chilled beef are small; hinds ti'/ B d, fores 3'/ a d. The River Plate shipments received during June, 1914, were: London, mutton 70.994 carcases, lamb 45.047 carcases; Liverpool 171,348 and 21,233; Cardiff, 4000 and 200; Hull, 0000 and 387; Southampton, 2452 and 7192; Newcastle, 3349 ansl 2(120; totals, mutton 258,143 carcases, lamb 10,079 carcases. The totals for June, :1913, were 278,544, lamb 86,445. Butter. —The market is steady at the advance. On account of the dry weather in Ireland there is a decrease in production, which had been estimated at fro.n 15 to 20 per cent. The Danish market ,ts quiet at ,the advance, 127s to 129f1, New Zealand quiet at 116s to 11 Ss, unsalted 118s to 120s, Australian steady at 108s to M2s, Siberian in good demand at 104s to 106s, Irish creamery in I'air demand at 114s to 118s. Cheese.—The market is steady with moderate demand. The Canadian market is quiet; white and colored 63s and ,61s. New Zealand is steady; white, in small supply, 65s to 665; colored, supply meets demand, 63s 6d to 61s Od. Hemp.—The market is quiet, with a tendency in favor of buyers. New Zealand good-fair £25, fair £23 10s. Manila, fair current £26, forward shipment about the same. The output from Manila for the week was 9000 hales. Wool. —The market is firm at the advance. Oats, Peas and Beans.—Market quiet and firm.
