A fire at Jvga'hanranga early this morning destroyed the building formerly the -White Horse Hotel and latterly used as a boarding-house since tiite district "went dry." The outbreak caused anxiety owing' to its proximity to the magazine of the Ngahauranga fort, an'i members of the permanent artillery ,kept vigilant watch. A woman who was known to have been in the building on Saturday night was not seen at the time of the fire.
