The basin cut had been advanced 110 feet during the month, and was now ."JOD feet inshore from the end of the wharf, leaving 20 feet more to complete the rut. Half a day was occupied in coaling, and one daywas lost through rough weather. The dredge Thomas King dredged on 21 days (time hours) and removed from the breakwater bank and western berths 12S loads, equal to 10,240 tons.
