Yesterday morning about CD or 70 directors of co-operative companies doing business in and around Inglcwood held a private conference at Inglewood with the directors of the fanners' Cooperative Organisation Society of New Zealand, which has recently been formed at llawera, on the proposal of the Society for handling daily produce, more I particularly with regard to improving the method of distributing in the Home markets. Mr. G. ][. Buekeridge (chairman of directors) presided, and the other directors present were: Messrs J. U. Corrigan, 1). Todd, W. Skcdgwell and V-'. Jones. After hearing Mr. Buekeridge on the question and thoroughly discussing the project, a resolution was passed unanimously, similar to that carried .previously at Opunako—"That this meeting is of opinion that something should be done to improve the condition of liio marketing "of our dairy produce, and. that it be a recommendation from this meeting to the committer formed at IVI- - North that itshould amalgamate with the Farmers' Co-operative Organisation Society, so as to have only one company for the purpose.
