The Yass Murderer

There was a sensational sequel to the Yass tragedy, when Norman Mcßean, aged thirty-live, son of the owner of the. station, shot himself with a pea-rifle, his body falling into a river live feet deep. He left a confession of the crime, which was not opened till the inquest. It, was not known that Mcßean had been paying addresses to MeAlister. A few days ago it was cabled from Sydney that Gertie MeAlister, a young domestic on Mcßean's station, had been shot in the back whilst in the kitchen. A note was found, alleging that-tbe perpetrator of the trim', bad been deceived by the girl.
