A meeting of the management committee of the Taranaki Rugby Union was held at Stratford last night. REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES. The Tlorowhcmu match was fixed for August 5 at Hawera. It was found impossible to arrange for a match with Poverty Bay this year, but the latter union hopes to travel next year. The Railway Department has granted accelerated and delayed trains for Thursday's Manawatu mtch. To-day's match at Waitara and next Saturday a match between Waimatc and the rest of South Taranaki will be Tanm benefit matches, and. if possible, or, August 5, another match between the Kaspar Cup winners and a team from the Whanganiomona sub-union in aid of the Tanm fund will be played. For the play-off match, north v. south, at StratfoTrl on July 30. the union will endeavor to get excursion tickels issued and to arrange to have the train slopped at the ground.

The Maori members of the Star Cub will be requested to attend n special meeting of the union at New Plymoath on Thursday morning next to explain (heir action at the match with Tukapa last Saturday.

Mr. James Oarcia was appointed to manage the B team on its Auckland tour.
